Just so y'all know, the movie is just as good as the book, and the storyline is 90% the same as the story (a few minor changes) and it's incredible.

Reading from the perspectives of Auggie and his friends, foes, and family members opens eyes and understanding to the complexities of bullying, family loyalty, and friendship. This book is a great conversation starter with kids on these topics.

Good book for parents to read to children. I read it as an adult, and found the story compelling, but the writing more appropriate for a much younger audience.

I found the mechanism used to understand August's disability (viewed from different characters' perspective) to be very effective. You learn not only about the disability, but you get a 360-degree perspective on it, allowing you to feel it more completely.

Writing in these different perspectives was done well and simply enough to engage younger kids. The chapters added in the latest edition, from the perspective of the antagonist, made the overall story better.

A highly emotionally intelligent book.

This amazing book will make you pick it up and never put it down! Through all the amazing and happy and sad parts, I personally enjoy the fight in the woods where even though August Pullman (who has a deformed face) stood up against the bullies for his friend. This story has a lot of things to follow so I would recommend this book to people 11+ although I read the story last month when I was 9!

Wonder by R.J Palacio makes you do exactly what the book says, it makes you wonder. You wonder about everything in this book in such an awe-inspiring way. It’s about a boy named August Pullman, a completely normal ten year old boy who loves video games, playing with his dog, and building new things. He is a normal boy with only a facial deformity. He’s been home schooled his whole life until he gets accepted into a new welcoming school for fifth grade and learns about the other side of life he always wondered about. This book is quite inspirational and definitely tells everyone to live your life no matter how you look because it might not feel like it but until you open up with others around you, your just as normal as you've always wanted to be and you have the time of your life when your not worrying about your looks. This definitely is a must be read on rainy days or when you just want to binge some amazing books. A for sure recommend for pre-teens who love reading chapter books! Go check this brilliant book out at your nearby library! Rating: 4 Out of 5 stars

Wonder is a great story, and I am now beginning 5th grade, so I am sort of going the same way as August, so I know what to expect. I like books like this because they change perspectives, and thanks to this I am now writing a book with the differents perspectives of the characters. I give this book 5 stars. (Ines)

Easy to read. Great book for young adults. Nice message, but not believable to me in the real world

I'm not sure I have the words to convey how wonderful this book is. Auggie Pullman, a soon to be 5th grader, finds out he will be going to a regular school for the first time after having been home schooled all of his life. This should not be too big of a deal, but Auggie has a sever facial deformity and sending him to school feels like, in the words of his father, "sending a sheep to the wolves". Everyone knows that Auggie will struggle with finding acceptance from his classmates-but they also know he has to learn how to live in a world that will always see him as different. The book chronicles Auggie's fifth grade year, in his voice as well as in the voices of his sister, classmates, and family friends. As the reader sees his extraordinary story unfold. there are acts of cruelty, tremendous acts of compassion and remarkable classmates and teachers that expand Auggie's world tremendously. The book demonstrates the power of kindness in such a powerful way that I could not stop thinking about it for days afterword. Everyone needs to read this book. And then everyone needs to practice the kind of kindness that makes a difference in the life of Auggie Pullman.

It takes great courage and determination to choose kindness above all else, but when we do, we can discover that there is a unique 'wonder' inside of everyone just wanting to come out.

Wonder is such an inspirational book! The characters all have different personalities and characteristics, and August is such a unique character. He went through a lot when he was little his face was affected by this disease called dibulo facial dysostosis which made his face all weird. But no matter how bad your face is messed up it doesn't change who you are as a human being.

Both of my boys(10 & 13 y.o.) read the book, they really enjoyed it! Also read the other one, Auggie and me. Wonderful, inspirational books!

Wonder is a book about kindness. It not only tells of Auggie's struggles entering 5th grade but those of his sister, Via & her best friend as they both try to "fit in" at high school. Auggie's friend Jack struggles with making decisions about friendship or going along with the crowd. "When given the choice between being right or being kind choose kind," is my favorite quote from this book.

It's a pretty amazing book for all ages! It brings the important discussion about bullying and how we can deal with the differences. Also, it's very helpful to learn English because has many dialogues and vocabularies. For ESL learners It's always a good deal! Inspirational book!

A nicely paced story, that inspires the reader to see with their heart what the eyes cannot see.

this book is so good!!!!
it makes you feel so many different feelings and makes you never want to put down the book.

If you want tears, frustration at stupidness, meanness, and just how can people be heartless, but at the same time think, "Yeah, I kind of do that sometimes, but I don't mean to!" (we are all human beings) or think what can I do when I am just one person. Read this book as it shows that although it is hard to be kind and you are just trying to survive in this world, this book shows that you don't have to try to hard when all you have to do is be kind (even just a little as it can go a long way), have empathy, be compassionate, and most of all have wonder at what you can and others can do when you are kind to each other.

Well written; I enjoyed the way the author provided a unique perspective for each of the major characters in this novel.
