Now with an updated epilogue celebrating the 30th anniversary of this groundbreaking and increasingly relevent book.

"May be the most significant work published in all our lifetimes." - LA Weekly

The Chalice and the Blade tells a new story of our cultural origins. It shows that warfare and the war of the sexes are neither divinely nor biologically ordained. It provides verification that a better future is possible--and is in fact firmly rooted in the haunting dramas of what happened in our past.

This is an enlightening book based on well researched human history that reveals how we became a male dominated society. Dr. Eisler has had a dynamic life experience that made her probe for the root causes of societal discourses. She offers a solution through striving for more equatable gender partnerships.
She is the founder of the Center for Partnership Studies (CPS-https://centerforpartnership.org/) that "is a catalyst for cultural, economic, and personal transformation- from domination to partnership, from control to care, from power-over to empowerment. CPS's programs provide new knowledge, insights, interventions, and practical tools for this urgently needed shift" (CPS website, 2018).

A highly recommended read for all genders; especially now with the many challenges humanity faces!
