Add a CommentA Spark Unseen is about heroine Katharine Tulman who discovers that her genius Uncle Tully is being hunted for his remarkable inventions, and is no longer safe in his workshop. She escapes to Paris with her uncle and her other companions, locking away the intelligent depths of Uncle Tully’s brain. As she tries to keep her uncle from evil hands, she searches for the late Lane Moreau. The sequel of The Dark Unwinding, this book is one of my favorite books so far, because of the vivid language the author uses to spin this captivating, romantic, and gothic tale. With a twist at every turn of the page, this story will keep you on your toes. This novel has an important (but dark) lesson: watch out. Be on your guard. Not everything is what it seems. As wonderfully written as this book is, however, there were some parts where the author used such rich language that I was lost in the words, trying to figure out what was happening. Nonetheless, this was an amazing book. This novel is perfect for teens who like mystery, romance, and something charmingly original for a change. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

A great story that is intricately woven and with amazing character development. The story is set in a great time period and the struggles are both personal and time determined. A high quality story with a great narrative voice.
