The scene: a cottage on the coast on a windy evening. Inside, a room with curtains drawn. Tea has just been made. Under a pool of yellow light, two figures face each other across a kitchen table. A man and a cat. This title tells a tale of a cat with nine lives, and a relationship as ancient as time itself and just as powerful.

What a waste of time. The only reason I finished it was because it was a short book and I kept hoping it would improve. Disjointed nonsense.

Good book for the cat owner who's not afraid to second guess his cats. Stylish writing by Truss.

A creepy and funny story about murderous cats. You can read this as an antidote to all the cute cat videos out there. Plus, how can you resist quotes like "This man can't have satanic eyeballs, I thought. He's a librarian"?

Have enjoyed the author's non fiction but did not like this at all.

Fun, silly, nerdy, and quick. Believe it or not I actually found 2 typo's but who cares. Easily read in one night, a book highly recommended if you have always suspected your cat may secretly be trying to kill you.

I found this a fun read, part mystery, part farce. While this title has been published as part of the Hammer Horror series, I wouldn't classify it as such, though there are some creepy moments.

Very, very spooky read. There is a twist ending that sneaks up on you about an hour after you finish the book, and makes the ending ten times creepier. Hint without spoiler: the narrator may not be the best judge of what happened and is happening.
