"Out of all the mysterious boarders who call Sanctuary home, no one is more antisocial or withdrawn than Maxis Drago. But then, it's hard to blend in with the modern world when you have a fifty foot wingspan. Centuries ago, he was cursed by an enemy who swore to see him fall. An enemy who took everything from him and left him forever secluded. But Fate is a bitch, with a wicked sense of humor. And when she throws old enemies together and threatens the wife he thought had died centuries ago, he comes back with a vengeance. Modern day New Orleans has become a battleground for the oldest of evils. And two dragons will hold the line, or go down in flames"--

Finally The Dragon in the Attic's story. Now it's plain why he gets so grumpy.

The Dark Hunter saga turns toward the history and fighting between the Arcadians and the Katagaria. We finanlly learn the first story of the Were's beginings and why they feud as Seraphina seeks out Maxis to save their dragonets he knew nothing about. Gods and demons still seek to take over the world as past misunderstandings and olf fears are overcome as Maxis and Seraphina rejoin as mates. Lots of new characters that I hope will each get a story, as well as getting to see many previous characters we''ve met before.

Dragonbane was another great story by Sherrilyn Kenyon and is primarily part of the Dark Hunter series but actually brings together threads from the DH, Hellchasers, Were-Hunters and Lords of Avalon series. The way that Sherrilyn is able to pull the storylines together is just one more reason why she is one of the paranormal genre's preeminent authors.

Another great read from Kenyon. She never disappoints.

I am a big fan of Sherilyn Kenyon and love the Dark Hunter series. While I can't say this book was great, I will say I did enjoy it. It wasn't what I was expecting and didn't hold my interest the way all of her books do. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series and am hoping it is better than this one.
