Keira Malone's daughter Moira asks her to come help with her new-born daughter (Keira's first grandchild) and to work in the local Irish pub owned by Moira's husband. What Keira doesn't count on is the handsome but surly new chef at the pub Bryan Laramie. When Keira inadvertently rents a small cottage on Lilac Lane next to Bryan's home, they're forced to see each other even more often. Eventually, the two get to know one another - and realize they each share some similar past pains.
