Beautiful book, but not that accessible. I like to cook, and have eaten Thai food, but have not made much Thai food.

I like a book that gives a little bit of introduction to each recipe: what is it served with/how should I pick dishes that go well together? What to look for in unfamiliar ingredients? What substitutions can be made for hard-to-find things? Unfortunately, the recipes are presented as-is, with no comment on them.

This book would be perfect if you lived in Thailand and were already familiar with the traditional cooking. There are definitely a few things I will make, and it is interesting to read through, but the majority are just a little out of reach due to the lack of supplemental info on ingredients and methods.
