What a waste of 115 minutes. Granted the special effects were rather good, but kinda cheesy in places, but the story such as it was, was completely silly. Not laughingly silly, but just not worth the effort it would require me to find a better word.

This movie is extremely gorgeous in so many different ways. First of all, the cinematography is WONDERFUL. I loved how this movie was done, and, regardless of setting, everything was beautifully executed. Secondly, this soundtrack was perfectly on point. Definitely great music for a great film. In addition, the mind twisting it does as the story evolves is so perfectly done that I *still* question what happened, and I've seen it numerous times. Oh, and honestly, having awesome women in bad ass fight scenes is definitely a fantastic plus. 15/10, highly recommend.

Fasten your seat-belts, or other restraining devices, and get reading for something of a hallucinogenic ride. Twist and turns and multiple layers of reality. Pretty dynamic.

This movie starts off slow but then gets really fun really fast. It is absolutely critical that you watch the Director's Cut because they removed a scene at the end of the film for the theatrical cut but it changes the entire message of the movie! One of my absolute favorites

A profoundly stupid movie! The visuals were good, the design of scenes very effective. Since the screenplay was garbage that makes this movie chrome plated garbage. I had never heard of dreaming within a dream that you are dreaming... I am already lost and this movie goes way beyond with several more layers of dreams. There is absolutely no believability in that idea. And in the end its a tragedy! Hated it! No stars!

OK, I confess, when I first saw the poster, I thought this was going to be a tacky film that would be easy to riff. Then I actually saw it…and I was awed.

The fans who just want a slam-bang action flick will be pleased, while the intellectual viewers will have a fascinating puzzle to solve. (Hint; a lot of folks have noted the movies' references to "Alice In Wonderland", such as the repeated touch points to rabbits. However, it has more in common with another book that has "Rabbit" in its title; it was an inspiration for graphic novel heroine Crazy Jane.) Besides, where else are you going to find women fighting giant ghost Samurai, steampunk German zombies, dragons, an army of goblins, and shiny robot terrorists?

I know what every action scene really is metaphorically in this entire movie, but i am just going to talk about one.The action scene with the robots reminds me of why all of the good paying jobs and careers in real life that was in the USA have gone overseas and are still going overseas and not coming back ever again period. We are the ''SUCKERS'' that have been ''PUNCHED OUT'' politically worldwide because of the sorcery of entertainment, matriarchy, and RACISM period. For all of you that are POLITICAL ZOMBIES worldwide (especially in the USA),DO YOUR HARDCORE AND EXTENSIVE RESEARCH ON THE ROBOTIC TAKEOVER OF ALL JOBS,CAREERS,BUSINESSES,AND VEHICLES AKA ''THE NEW WORLD ORDER'' AKA ''AGENDA 21'' RIGHT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE TO REALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT PERIOD,BUT YOU DON'T HEAR ME THOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clearly, this is a very polarizing movie, which means there must be something interesting about it. And I say this as someone who is not really a fan of Zack Snyder's comic book movies, "Watchmen," "300," and "Man of Steel." Set in an asylum, this is a movie with multiple layers, much like "Inception" or "The Matrix." Not one has accused Snyder of originality (his first film was a visceral remake of "Dawn of the Dead") and you'll pick up references to everything from "Alice in Wonderland" to "Brazil" to "Lord of the Rings." Much of the controversy surrounding the film is about its female protagonists, who many thought were exploited and that the whole think smacked of fanboy fantasy. The criticisms aren't exactly wrong; like many action movies with female heroes, they kick ass but also have to look hot (high heels, tight clothes). Yet they are indisputably the heroes of the story and there is some irony (not enough though) in Snyder throwing all these teenage fantasy scenarios (Robots! Samurais! Robot Samurais! Dragons!) into the mix and letting young women act them out. So, I think it deserves a little more credit. With that in mind, it is muddled, derivative and over the top, with too many of the action scenes resembling video games. Snyder wanted a different ending and this ending is pretty lame. Oscar Isaac, so good in "Inside Llewyn Davis," is a sleazy hospital worker and Jon Hamm has a small role. Not great, but a little underrated.

Sucker Punch is nothing more than a steaming pile of maggot filled festering misogynist crap trying to masquerade as female empowerment. - Anita Sarkeesian

This movie is a little different and requires that you pay attention (particularly at the beginning) to be able to recognize the faces of the main characters as they are presented in different personifications. I wasn't sure in the beginning, but I enjoyed the movie. An interesting plot.

I don't agree with the soft porn comment. The womens costumes are intended to speak to the viewer, and they do.
