The Snow Queen

The Snow Queen is a story about two children who are best friends a girl named Gerda and a boy named Kai who are witness' to the war between good and evil. It is a unique, but at times a bit difficult to understand, book that was written by Hans Christian Anderson. It was first published on the 21st of December 1844 and has been enjoyed many many times by all kinds of people. Including myself. :D

People are saying that Frozen is just like the Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen, but its really a very different story. It is a little obvious that Frozen was inspired by it though.
The story follows the adventures of two young children who have been friends their whole lives. One day, the boy becomes infected by the fallen dust of an ancient mirror that has been shattered. His personality changes completely, and he soon disappears. His friend, the girl, goes on a dangerous adventure to try to find him and free him from the control of the dreaded Snow Queen.
A sweet, touching and memorable story! Plus a very quick read. All ages will love it!
