Is Our Weather Truly Wacky?

Book
Rate this:
There's no rhyme or reason to our severe weather occurrences says Environment Canada meteorologist Dan Kulak and while Environment Canada reported six tornado sightings near Lethbridge between 1913 and 2002, many more were reported in other areas of southern Alberta. But winds and the odd tornado are far from southern Alberta's only wacky weather occurrences. Few can forget the flood of 1995, or the severe rain and hail storm that hit the city last August. "This year is certainly looking higher than last year but in bounces around. It's not the same ever year" says Kulak.
