Indiana Jones: Brutal couple of years, huh, Charlie? First Dad, then Marcus.
Dean Charles Stanforth: We seem to have reached the age where life stops giving us things and starts taking them away.

Indy: The second you unshackle me I'll break your nose.
(Later) Indy: I told you I'd break your nose.
Col. Dr. Irina Spalko: Belief, Dr. Jones, is a gift you have yet to receive. My sympathies.
Indiana Jones: Oh, I believe, sister. That's why I'm down here.

This is the most ridiculous and fantastic of the series, and also the least adventurous, and with the lowest amount of human drama. The special effects are incredible, and the plot development gets ever more elaborate.
Like "The Godfather III" and the 2016 election, it's best if we all pretend this never happened.
Meh.
ok, definitely not as good as the old ones. Some good action scenes but seems like they did the same escape/double crossing a few times. Dialogue wasn't as good/one-lines as originals
Some people blame the silly plot on this movie's low score. Personally I blame the bad acting and Harrison Ford's utter boredom.
Second time watching this last film in the series. Really miss the characters from "Last Crusade", the best ever. Love all the Indiana Jones movies. Lots of fun. Harrison Ford still cool, but a little hard to take him on the back of the motorcycle.... Some scenes and dialogue reminescent of his relationship with his father (played by Sean Connery -- my all time favorite actor) in "... The Last Crusade"!! But still entertaining and fun to see Marion back, although the son's character a little annoying.
There's little negative that I can say that hasn't already been said about this movie. Cheesy script. Lack of suspension of disbelief. The general feeling of a petty nostalgia grab. It's all been said before. When the movie was initially released, I wondered "Would this have worked if it was released 4 years after 'Last Crusade', with a slightly different cast and a somewhat younger Indy"? The only answer I could come to is a resounding "no". The move from religious/mythological fantasy to science fiction stood out for me as an odd choice for the plot of an Indian Jones movie. The crazy stunts were beyond the crazy stunts we've seen in the other Indiana Jones movies, which says a lot. Also the plot felt too corny and inauthentic. Mutt's character was too cliche, to the point at which you guessed who he was 45 seconds after he appears on screen.
It wasn't an extra-bad movie. I would label it an 'extra medium' movie. Average as far as movies go, far below average as far as the series goes.
Original title "Indiana Jones and the Shameless Cash Grab." I like to pretend that this, like "The Godfather III" and the second Star Wars trilogy, never happened.
Not the best in the series. Not highly recommended. Note: Sex out of Wedlock is a sin.
