A space shuttle burns up upon reentry causing debris to land across a wide area of the United States. Tucker Kaufman, a member of the CDC, visits one of the crash sites and gets a cut on his hand. Dr. Carol Bennell begins to notice that people are starting to act strange. She turns to her best friend, Dr. Ben Driscoll. He takes a small sample of the material to Dr. Stephen Galeano and they soon learn the substance is not from Earth. Carol's son, Oliver starts to have nightmares and Carol thinks it is because he is about to see Tucker, his father. Tucker has been infected and begins to show little emotion. One of Carol's patients complains that her husband is acting differently. As she begins to voice these concerns, Carol begins to notice other strange things. People are staring at her as she walks by and no one shows any emotion when a woman is hit by a car. Carol soon realizes she must stay awake, find her son, and join her two friends as they try to get to Fort Dix and work on an antidote.

It's a new take on Invasion of the body snatchers. I liked it. Only question who sleeps next to there child in a see through nighty? Oh well this is worth a watch was a big surprise

I loved this movie. I thought it was a wonderful update of the classic. That being said i am the only... i mean the SOLE person i know who enjoyed it at all. For some reason they forced Kidman to be american which led to a disastrous in and out accent. Sometimes american, sometimes austrailian and sometimes twangy texan. She also insisted on using a breathy baby voice that makes you want to dislike her character. I think had they just let her use her own accent, her own voice the movie would have been much better. She could have concentrated more on the plot and characterization and less on how she sounded.

Good remake. Kidman knocks the performance out of the park AND looks incredible. The hordes of snatched folk do a creepy good job of being alien. There are plenty of moments of high tension. Sci-fi thriller. Not scary, but well done.

This is a bad movie in all ways -writing, direction, acting. Instead, see the low budget original "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" which has style and suspense. This one is just slopped together - why was it even made?

Terrible, the Sutherlund/Kidder version is better.

Quite a good story, very good characters and a reasonable premise . - Way better than Shaun of the dead -LOL - - This DVD has SDH

there's only one "body snatcher" although this one beats the one with donald sutherland in it by a landslide.

This version is so much better than the original.

This wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen, it is far from being good. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way.”

The original " Invasion of the body snatchers" was much better.
