Add a CommentThis movie never fails to entertain me and I've seen it more times than I can count but I just love all of the performances and the music, the dancing... everything. I love the nostalgia and the romance of the era. No matter how many times I watch it, I will always be in love with it! Sadly several of the cast members have since passed away, but I'm glad they made this gem to keep their performances alive.
I will and can put 'Baby in a Corner' . The dancing is boring to me and the characters to me felt dull. There was also a lot of yelling/whining in it; it honestly made me unable to really connect with Baby. The dancing is also not that great.
This is also another case of 'I saw the sequel, before I saw the original' and maybe because of this I really love the sequel more and have a distaste for this one.
This has stood the test of time and is just as enjoyable. Patrick was one heck of a dancer, wish he’d done more.
A film that is well worth watching for the soundtrack alone, the story of Johnny and Baby's summer romance is a classic coming of age story that stands the test of time with a great final line.
Nobody puts Baby in the Corner. First time seeing the movie. It was enjoyable. I'm surprised at how progressive the movie was. I'm not certain it'd get made today, and that's a shame, because it's a good movie with real lessons.
While the plot is, to be brutally honest, simple to the point of being trite, the movie is still a total delight. Patrick Swayze radiates charisma like a true star, and his natural charm shines through the entire film. His dancing moves are absolutely a joy to see. A lot of films from the 70s and 80s truly haven't aged well, but the comedic and romantic aspects of this gem still hold up.
VERY GOOD 30th anniversary edition of film that I now have finally seen.
Excellent dancing, fun romance, and more...
<3 this movie
I'm pretty biased because I've been enjoying this movie since it was released 29 years ago (inconceivable!) and I was a perfect tween age to love it. I rewatched it recently, and it still holds up for me. It has one of the best soundtracks of the '80s.
Me and my mother are in love with this outstanding movie. Drama! Romance! EVERYTHING A ROMANCE LOVER NEEDS!!! When I get older, I wanna be making the adds for this five star show. Good Job!!!!!
