Rolling Stone Magazine rank Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR, for short) as being one of the top 100 greatest rock bands of all time. And if you give a serious listen to some of the feel-good, foot-stompin' tunes on this CD, then I'm sure that you'll find yourself in full agreement with Rolling Stone on their rating. CCR are an American, "roots" rock band who originated from the San Francisco area in the mid-1960's. Between 1968-1972, CCR released seven best-selling albums, all of which contained a string of top ten hits. CCR's unfortunate demise (which came about quite abruptly in 1972) was mainly due to singer/songwriter, John Fogerty's fierce strangle-hold on the band's creative output. This "Best Of" CD contains 20 toe-tappin' tunes from CCR's heyday. Four of my favorites are - Suzie-Q, Bad Moon Rising, Hey Tonight, and Who'll Stop The Rain?
