I very much enjoyed this, and again was mesmerized by the art of the animation. Different than Miyazaki's other Studio Ghibli films, which are more family entertainment - my guess is that this one is more directed at adults, as it explores more adult themes. Kids will enjoy the animation, of course. By the way, the protagonist of the film is the real engineer who designed Japan's Zero fighter airplane during WWII, but the film is *not* a historically accurate biography. Miyazake took some wild liberties, even with the details of the man's life and marriage, for the sake of artistic license.
