This is the second in a series and the first I have read. The plot forms around the death of an beloved elderly maid, MacGregor, who dies of natural causes and sets up a will that pays to take all her former employers around the world to places she has never been to scatter her ashes and relive the good memories they all had of her. The maid was a motherly type and was in on all their secrets. Although MacGregor was dead all of the secrets did not die with her, hence the murders. An average murder mystery to wile away the hot humid days of summer. I found the author's attempt at a love triangle between Amy, Marcus and Peter to lack any kind of sizzle. The one thing I did like was Amy's mom,Fanny, I really felt that her mother and Marcus had a more exciting relationship. I was waiting for Fanny to go cougar relieve Amy of Marcus and end the lame triangle plot line. I found it an okay murder mystery to while away the hot humid days of summer.
